COVID-19 Status Update
These past few months have been a whirlwind for the spa industry, and although states are starting to reopen, the reality that large groups will be unable to gather safely for quite some time is now upon us. Therefore, Face & Body is bringing the education, product knowledge and live demonstrations it is known for to the digital space—introducing Face & Body Virtual, taking place September 14-17, 2020.
Face & Body Virtual will give attendees somewhere to earn their continuing education credits, attend virtual manufacturer classes and buy products at show rates—and all without leaving the comfort of your own spa or home. Details will follow shortly on what you can look forward to at Face & Body Virtual, but we hope it will be some of the spa excitement you are used to with none of the sore feet!
Also, for the safety of our exhibitors and attendees, Face & Body Midwest and Face & Body Northern California have been postponed to late 2020 and early 2021, respectively. Face & Body Northern California (formerly Aug. 30-31, 2020) in San Jose, California will now take place Dec. 13-14, 2020, and Face & Body Midwest (formerly July 26-27, 2020) in Rosemont, Illinois, is now rescheduled for Feb. 28-Mar. 1, 2021. Because of these date change, Face & Body Southeast in Atlanta, Georgia will move to May 2-3, 2021.
The Face & Body family can't wait to see you in person later this year, and until then, we look forward to virtual hugs in September.
Allured Business Media produces annual events for the Beauty, Spa, Fragrance & Flavor industries to share, learn, network and identify new suppliers and customers. Cancelling any of our events prematurely is a decision we don't take lightly, as these events are recognized by the community as signature events. That said, we're continuing to watch, monitor, work with our venue partners and carefully assess the risk as we approach the dates of our upcoming events. The health and safety of our customers, partners and staff is our highest priority.
If our events are approaching the scheduled dates for the show and the risk assessment from the CDC, etc is consistent with today, we'll put our plans in motion to postpone the show dates. We're working diligently with the facility and hotels respectively for all upcoming events. We have made the commitment to our customers, partners and team to re-assess the risks and make a final determination on the current dates with-in a couple months prior to the show.
If we in fact need to postpone our show dates, we will make everyone well aware of it in-advance, so you, we and everyone will be able to make the necessary changes without penalty. In addition, the airlines have been very transparent on their policy for making itinerary changes due to the coronavirus as well.
For now, please exercise the guidelines we've all been given and stay healthy, as we are... As we approach our deadline for postponing an event, we'll keep you well informed. Thank you for your attention and your continued confidence in the Allured events. We appreciate your support.
